QLS | Quality in Language Services in Sofia, Bulgaria

On 2nd July OPTIMA, the Network of Foreign Language Centres of Bulgaria, organized a seminar at the premises of the British Council in Sofia, in collaboration with the British Council Bulgaria, the international organization for certification of quality foreign language schools EAQUALS, the Italian Foreign Language Education Organization AISLI and QLS, the Greek network of quality language schools.

The chair of QLS, Mrs Asimenia Featham and vice-chair Mrs Panagiota Bourtsoukli represented QLS (Quality in Language Services) with presentations at the seminar, which was entitled “Competition and Collaboration for Effective Management of Language Institutions.” The educational organizations shared useful and valuable ideas, experiences and approaches to foreign language education and school management. To our astonishment, we learnt that in other countries the state provides private foreign language education with support and co-operation, which is not the case in Greece!
